CGI (GIB) said Thursday it expanded artificial intelligence functions within its enterprise resource planning platform used by state and local governments.

The updates embed automated tools directly into finance, human resources, procurement and operations workflows to help users complete tasks and summarize complex transactions, the company said.

The software includes a digital assistant to answer queries, alongside configurable controls and audit trails to maintain security and regulatory compliance, CGI said.
