Xero (ASX:XRO) shares rose marginally in recent trade as AustralianSuper's voting power in the company increased to 9.17% from 8.13%, effective May 22.

On the flip side, the financial sector struggled, shedding more than 1%.

Shares of Commonwealth Bank (ASX:CBA) fell past 1% in recent trade.
