Net sales for the quarter ended April 26 were $2.97 billion, compared with $2.9 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $2.96 billion.
For fiscal 2026, the company continues to expect adjusted EPS of $1.43 to $1.51 on sales of $12.2 billion to $12.5 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $1.46 and $12.29 billion, respectively.
Hormel Foods shares were up 6.4% in premarket activity.
