Shoppers, especially those from lower-income households, are navigating higher fuel costs and broader macro uncertainty, he says on a call with analysts. "Customers are shopping thoughtfully and closer to need, with a continued focus on affordability, convenience and trip efficiency," Creedon says, adding that value, proximity and the ability to stretch budgets with smaller and more affordable pack sizes are all top of mind for shoppers.
