Abercrombie & Fitch Testing New Ways to Implement AI Across the Buying Process -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
05/27

1001 ET - One of Abercrombie & Fitch's goals for the year is to invest in tools and technologies--including artificial intelligence--that improve speed and efficiency across products and for customers, CEO Fran Horowitz says on a call with analysts. As part of this effort, the clothing company in March launched an upgraded enterprise resource planning system--a real-time software system that integrates core operations such as inventory, sales and financials into a single platform. Horowitz says the platform should enable the company to accelerate its ability to quickly onboard and support new partners, channels and geographies. Abercrombie is also looking at how the buying process is evolving with AI, testing new ways to bring its brands to new chat apps and devices. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
