Stellantis' (STLA) Chrysler is recalling 419,035 vehicles in the US because a software error could delay side air bag deployment during a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Friday.
The regulator said the recall covers certain 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2023-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L models.
Dealers will update the occupant restraint controller software free of charge, according to the regulator.
