Laser Photonics (LASE) shares surged 22% in premarket activity on Wednesday, building on almost 161% of gains in the previous session after the company said it was invited to participate in a government evaluation process to identify and advance technologies across key defense capability areas.
The company said the Department of War selected its Laser Shield Anti-Drone system under the Mission Engineering and Integration Activity Vulcan Call for Solutions.
As a result of the selection, the company has been invited to participate in a technical exchange with government engineers at an upcoming meeting.
