Personalis' (PSNL) ultrasensitive minimal residual disease detection with NeXT Personal showed early detection of patients at risk for relapse across six solid tumor types, the company said Tuesday.

The tool successfully identified all instances of colorectal cancer relapse before clinical imaging and detected 82% of future relapses four weeks after surgery, the company said.

NeXT Personal also consistently identified genetic tumor material at extremely low levels in lung cancer patients, predicting a higher risk of disease return, it said.

Additional studies covering ovarian and endometrial cancers, melanoma, and renal cell carcinoma indicated that the test can forecast treatment responses and potential relapses, Personalis said.
