CrowdStrike Premarket Fall Suggests Profit-Taking -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

0909 GMT - Crowdstrike's premarket share price fall--even after beating first-quarter expectations--suggests investors are booking profits, Swissquote's Ipek Ozkardeskaya says. Shares in the cybersecurity group have surged close to 60% so far this year. But despite raising its revenue guidance and recording a first-quarter profit, shares slide 11% premarket. The move is "a sign that profit-taking is becoming increasingly attractive when valuations look stretched," Ozkardeskaya writes. More broadly, investors' reaction is one reason a broader correction in technology stocks is possible over the summer, the analyst adds. Futures for the tech-heavy Nasdaq are down 1%.
