Ouster (OUST) is collaborating with FieldAI to deploy its Rev8 native color lidar to enhance the perception and navigation of general-purpose robots in complex environments, the companies said Tuesday.

Using Rev8's advanced sensing capabilities offers the reliability and adaptability required for autonomous robotics deployment at scale, especially in unstructured industrial settings where work can often be dangerous and difficult for humans, the companies said.

By integrating Rev8's capabilities into its products, FieldAI plans to expand its footprint across construction, mining, energy, manufacturing, security, and government industries, the companies added.
