Medicus Pharma (MDCX) submitted a clinical modification application with the European Union to support an upcoming phase 2b trial of its advanced prostate cancer treatment Teverelix, the drugmaker said Monday.
The phase 2b study aims to refine dosage options and analyze the safety, efficacy, and biological behavior of the therapy before starting registrational development, the company said.
The drug candidate targets prostate cancer patients who have an elevated risk for cardiovascular issues and require androgen deprivation therapy, Medicus Pharma said.
