Toyo (TOYO) plans to build a 1.5 gigawatt heterojunction solar cell manufacturing facility in the Houston metropolitan area as part of its expansion into US cell production, the company said Monday.
The company said the $357 million investment will be co-located with its existing module site, creating an integrated hub to improve supply chain efficiency and production synergies.
The facility is expected to be completed within 20 months and will create 400 direct manufacturing jobs in the Houston area, Toyo added.
