APL Apollo Tubes' (NSE:APLAPOLLO, BOM:533758) chief human resources officer, Pankaj Sharma, has resigned from the company with effect from June 17, according to a Monday filing with Indian stock exchanges.

The company's shares were down nearly 1% in Tuesday's trade.

He has resigned to pursue an opportunity outside the organization, the statement said.
