Autodesk (ADSK) was Smart Insider's stock pick of the week after Chair Stacy Smith purchased $794,000 of stock at $231.17 per share on May 29, increasing his holding by 15%.

Smith, who has served as chair since June 2018 and joined the board in 2011, made his first share purchase, Smart Insider said in a Thursday note, adding that the purchase is "unusual" for a "long-serving insider."

The transaction also reversed a pattern of sales, most recently a $1.8 million sale at $244 per share in January 2024, according to Smart Insider.
