Stocks to Watch: Super Micro, Cracker Barrel, Ming Shing Group

Super Micro Computer plans to raise $7 billion in a series of equity offerings. Proceeds from the sales will be used to purchase components needed to fulfill $39 billion of orders the company has received in recent weeks for its advanced AI servers, it said. The server maker said it is planning $5 billion of underwritten public offerings, including about $1.25 billion of common stock, and about $3.75 billion of depositary shares, as well as an up to $2 billion at-the-market offering of common stock. Shares slid 6.1% to $38.15 in after-hours trading.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store boosted its full-year outlook after reporting a higher profit in the fiscal third quarter, as cost cuts helped absorb a continued decline in sales. The restaurant chain's results come as its turnaround plans have faced hurdles from a backlash against a short-lived attempt to change its logo, as well as customer complaints about food quality and menu changes. The stock rose 7.4%, to $38.99, in late trading.

Ming Shing Group closed its acquisition of PMA Nano Carbon Tech for total consideration of $110 million. The Hong Kong company funded the consideration by issuing three unsecured convertible promissory notes to the sellers in an aggregate amount of $110 million, it said. PMA Nano Carbon Tech Limited holds the issued share capital of a private company that intends to focus on the research, development and sales of graphene heating and heat dissipation materials, intelligent temperature control systems and related thermal management solutions. The stock more than doubled to $3.59 in after-hours trading.
