Cullinan Therapeutics (CGEM) said Wednesday its experimental immune therapies showed early signs of effectiveness in treating severe autoimmune diseases and outlined plans for further clinical testing.

The company said that CLN-978, a treatment targeting B cells, led to disease remission and reduced autoantibodies in a small number of patients with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

Some patients showed rapid improvement after stopping other immunosuppressive drugs, it added.

Cullinan said its other drug, velinotamig, showed early evidence of kidney response and major symptom improvement in patients with lupus, with no serious immune-related side effects reported in the early data.

The company said it plans to expand testing of both drugs into larger studies and additional autoimmune conditions over the next year and into 2027.

It added more clinical data updates are expected later this year.
