The Hong Kong-listed copper-clad laminates maker typically issues a profit alert around a month before results as long as its earnings growth exceeds 30% on year, the analysts say. They expect copper-clad laminates price inflation from stronger-than-expected average-selling price increases for upstream e-glass fabric to bolster Kingboard's profit. They project the company's 1H net profit to surge by 273% on year and for revenue to grow 74%. Citi raises its 2026-2028 earnings estimates by 6%-18%. The bank also lifts its target price to HK$80.00 from HK$76.00 while maintaining a buy rating. Shares rise 14% to HK$63.55. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
