The Korea Exchange activated a five-minute buy-side sidecar on the country's primary stock market on Monday morning after investors rushed to buy stocks amid news that the US and Iran had finally reached an agreement to end the months-long war.
The Korea Exchange announced the order at 9:06 am after the KOSPI200 Futures added 66 points, or 5.07%, to trade at 1,365.85.
A buy-side sidecar is activated when the KOSPI200 Futures index rises 5% or more for at least one minute.
