BOJ, RBA Kick Off Week of Central Bank Decisions in APAC -- Market Talk

0114 GMT - An action-packed central bank week kicks off with BOJ and RBA meetings that will shed light on how authorities view the Middle East conflict after the latest U.S.-Iran truce. Markets see a BOJ rate hike as a done deal, and focus will be on how the yen reacts as it lingers in the intervention danger zone. TD Securities strategists say a hike alone won't aid the yen. Hawkish BOJ guidance for more accelerated tightening and a higher terminal level are needed to convincingly backstop yen weakness, they say. The RBA, meanwhile, is widely expected to pause after three back-to-back hikes. Nomura analysts think the RBA will stop well short of declaring victory on inflation, and expect little forward guidance. Any indication of a dimmer growth outlook could pressure the Aussie dollar.
