Merck's (MRK) Belzutifan in combination with pembrolizumab has been approved for the adjuvant treatment of adults with renal cell carcinoma, the US Food and Drug Administration said Friday.

It is also approved for the combination with pembrolizumab and berahyaluronidase alfa-pmph, the FDA said.

The treatment is for patients with a clear cell component at intermediate to high risk of recurrence following nephrectomy, or after nephrectomy and resection of metastatic lesions, it said.
