Insurance Australia Group (ASX:IAG) invested in employee wellbeing platform Sonder through its corporate venture capital arm Firemark Ventures, the insurer said in a statement on Monday.

The investment builds on the company's use of Sonder to support its workforce and allows it to extend the capability to customers during high-risk incidents and natural disasters, the statement said.

Insurance Australia Group shares fell 2% in midday trade on Monday.
