The SpaceX board of directors made its public debut on video streams of the dual listings in New York and Texas.

Investors Steve Jurvetson, Randy Glein and Ira Ehrenpreis joined President and COO Gwynne Shotwell at the bell ringing in New York, while Antonio Gracias appeared from Texas. (Director Don Harrison, who represents Google's SpaceX investment, wasn't at the event due to his son's graduation, a spokesperson said.)

Also in the crowd in Starbase, Texas, were CEO Elon Musk's siblings Kimbal and Tosca Musk, Craft Venture's Bill Lee and Atreides Management's Gavin Baker, as well as Thrive Capital's Sam Teller, once a close aide to Musk, and Alexander Tamas from Vy Capital.

Sequoia's Shaun Maguire, K5 Global's Michael Kives and Vy's John Hering were also at Starbase, a person familiar with the event said.
