Moderna (MRNA) said Thursday an advisory committee of the US Food and Drug Administration voted in favor of the benefit-risk profile of mRNA-1010, a seasonal influenza vaccine candidate.
The Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee voted 9-0 that the benefits of mRNA-1010 outweigh its risks in adults 50 through 64 years and also in 65 years and older, it said.
The FDA will consider the recommendations of the committee as part of its biologics license application review for mRNA-1010, the firm said. The FDA must review the application by Aug. 5.
