0548 GMT - iFAST's move to expand its payment infrastructure could boost its deposit inflows, says RHB Research's Syahril Hanafiah in a note. The digital wealth platform recently added payment features powered by external sources for both individual and corporate clients to its global bank segment, he notes. These moves are in line with the company's strategy of layering payment systems on to its existing infrastructure instead of building new core products, he says. The features should deepen its banking ecosystem and attract new clients, boosting its fee-based income and deposit growth, the analyst says. Still, the direct boost to earnings at this juncture could be limited. RHB retains its buy rating and target price of 12.20 Singapore dollars. Shares drop 0.2% to S$9.02. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
