Bell Canada, Hive Digital Join Project to Expand Canada AI R&D Capacity

Bell Canada (BCE), Hive Digital Technologies (HIVE) unit Buzz High Performance Computing, Cohere, and Hypertec have announced an AI infrastructure deal for Canada, the companies said Thursday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The collaboration draws together Bell AI Fabric's data center and connectivity infrastructure, Cohere's AI capabilities, and Buzz's Nvidia-powered (NVDA) computing infrastructure, and Hypertec's hardware, the companies said.

The companies' project is aimed at building R&D tools for AI models using Canadian infrastructure and Canadian firms, the companies said.
