Virgin Australia (ASX:VGN) said its first Pets in Cabin flight from Adelaide took off on Tuesday, giving South Australian pet owners the opportunity to travel with their small cats and dogs in the cabin on eligible flights.

The company said in a statement that the expansion follows strong customer demand since the service first launched in October 2025, with almost 1,500 pets having traveled onboard in that time.
