ArcelorMittal (MT) has teamed up with Amazon (AMZN) Web Services to advance industrial automation in its global operations using cloud, artificial intelligence, and edge technologies, the company said Monday.

The collaboration brings Amazon cloud and AI capabilities to ArcelorMittal's steel manufacturing processes to optimize production and improve safety, reliability and energy efficiency, the company said.

ArcelorMittal has also secured a multi-year framework to supply structural steel across Europe and the UK for Amazon operations, facilities, and data centers, it added.
