Jaguar Health Files New Animal Drug Application For Full FDA Approval Of Canine Diarrhea Therapy

Jaguar Health (JAGX) completed the submission of its new animal drug application to the US Food and Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine, seeking full approval for crofelemer to treat chemotherapy-induced diarrhea in dogs, the company said Tuesday.

The application incorporates findings from a clinical efficacy study in veterinary oncology centers alongside data involving subjects undergoing targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapies, the company said.

The medication operates as a non-antibiotic treatment mechanism and currently holds conditional agency approval for the canine indication, Jaguar Health said.

Shares of the company were down 1.6% in early Tuesday trading.
