China Gas (HKG:0384) recorded a 16% decline in attributable profit for the year ended March 31 to HK$2.72 billion from HK$3.25 billion a year prior.

The Chinese natural gas distributor's earnings per share slipped to HK$0.50 from HK$0.60 in the previous fiscal year, according to a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Revenue declined 7.1% to HK$73.6 billion from HK$79.3 billion in the year-ago period.

The company recommended a final dividend of HK$0.20 per share, payable Oct. 2 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 31, subject to shareholder approval.
