Iag's New Bear Doesn't See Greensill Risk Priced In

0045 GMT - Insurance Australia Group's new bear at Macquarie doesn't think the market is pricing in further downside risks related to collapsed supply chain financer Greensill. Cutting their recommendation on the stock to underperform from neutral, one of the investment bank's analysts tells clients that an attempted switch in causation plea by Credit Suisse, which is suing IAG, could expose the ASX-listed insurer to another A$740 million of net exposure to outstanding Greensill claims. A claim of any level could change the attractiveness of IAG's planned RACWA acquisition and its medium-term EPS profile, the analyst writes in a note. Macquarie cuts its target price 18% to 7.00 Australian dollars, Shares are up 0.4% at A$8.085. (stuart.condie@wsj.com)
