DBV Technologies is working to incorporate feedback from the Food and Drug Administration before seeking marketing approval for a patch to treat peanut allergies.

The biopharmaceutical company said Monday it has had continuing discussions with the FDA in recent weeks to prepare to submit a Biologics License Application for its Viaskin Peanut Patch for children ages four through seven years.

During their collaboration, the FDA provided valuable input and has not requested additional information, DBV said. The company now expects to file its application for the treatment in the third quarter.

The patch is designed to introduce microgram amounts of a biologically active compound to the immune system through the skin to address peanut allergies.
