Tivan (ASX:TVN) awarded an early contractor involvement contract to MDM Mining & Civil to finalize the access road design for the Speewah project in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company is working on the project's definitive feasibility study for a mining and processing operation of fluorite ore to produce acid grade fluorspar, the filing said.

The project is being progressed through a joint venture with Sumitomo and Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security, per the filing.
