Fleetwood (ASX:FWD) said its closing cash position for June 30 was AU$61.5 million, above the expected closing cash of AU$44 million to AU$46 million advised to the market on June 22, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The company said the improvement in the net cash position was due to several large customer payments being received before June 30, rather than after the end of the fiscal year.
