Trump Wants You to 'go Out and Buy a Dell' and the Endorsement Sends the Stock Soaring

Shares of Dell Technologies rose Monday after President Donald Trump heaped praised on the company and told consumers to "go out and buy a Dell computer."

Dell stock was feeling the Trump effect, rising 8% to $429.08 on Monday directly following the president's comments. If the move holds through the closing bell, shares will snap a two-day losing streak. Dell stock remains up 235% this year but is down 9.4% from its record closing high of $465.96 from June 1, according to Dow Jones Market Data.

During a press conference Monday at which Trump made remarks about the start of "Trump accounts," the investment accounts for children born between 2025 and 2028, the president thanked Michael Dell, the founder of Dell, and his wife Susan Dell for financial contributions.

"We're going to get him that money back one way or another," Trump said. "He makes an incredible product."

"Go out and buy a Dell computer," the president added.

It's not the first time Trump has publicly supported Dell, using similar rhetoric in 2025 and earlier in 2026. Trump also purchased $5.1 million worth of Dell stock in the first quarter.

The president also favorably has mentioned Micron Technology, Intel, Advanced Micro Devices, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and many publicly traded companies since he started his second term in the White House.
