12:58 ET -- Shopify could be a core beneficiary of the shift toward AI-driven, agentic commerce, according to a BofA research note. BofA says agentic commerce represents a structural shift in the nature of demand in the retail ecosystem, with AI agents increasingly replacing traditional discovery routes such as search and marketplaces. "We believe Shopify is well positioned as a core beneficiary of this evolution given its role as the transaction and infrastructure layer underpinning digital commerce," BofA says. Beyond this, however, BofA says Shopify also has non-AI pathways that can support 24%-28% growth over the medium term. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
