Shares of Simply Good Foods jumped after the company raised its sales guidance for the full fiscal year.

The stock was up 15% at $14.75 in premarket trading. Shares had fallen 36% year-to-date when the market closed Wednesday.

The packaged-foods maker said it now expects $1.35 billion to $1.36 billion in sales for the fiscal 2026, up from a previous forecast for $1.31 billion to $1.35 billion.

Chief Executive Joe Scalzo said the company is seeing signs of improvement from its early work on a turnaround strategy.

During the fiscal third quarter, which ended May 30, sales declined 6.3% to $357 million. But analysts polled by FactSet had been anticipating a heftier drop to $333 million.

Simply Good Foods did swing to a quarterly loss of $52 million, or 58 cents a share, from a profit of $41 million, or 40 cents a share. But adjusted earnings, which strip out one-time items, were 42 cents a share. Analysts had been bracing for just 35 cents a share.
