Singapore Shares End Week Higher. STI Climbs 0.7%; Oiltek up 8%; YZJ Shipbldg up Nearly 6%; Keppel, Centurion up over 5%; Seatrium, CityDev up over 2%

Stocks in Singapore rose Friday, as the FTSE Straits Times Index gained 0.7% to 5469.29.

Oiltek up 8%; YZJ Shipbldg up nearly 6%; Keppel, Centurion up over 5%; Seatrium, Boustead, CityDev up over 2%.

Among local companies with a market cap of at least 1 billion Singapore dollars ($774.7 million), Keppel was the biggest leader during the session, surging 5.4%, and Centurion Corp jumped 5.4%. Great Eastern Holdings rounded out the top three movers, as shares gained 4.1%.

China Aviation Oil was the biggest laggard, dropping 2.8%, followed by shares of Ultragreen.AI, which fell 1.6%. Shares of Singapore Exchange declined 1.5%.

On the currency front, the WSJ Dollar Index fell 0.1% to 97.17. The U.S. dollar weakened 0.1% against the Singapore dollar to S$1.29.

In the bond markets, the 10-year Singaporean government bond yield declined 1.5 basis points to 2.130%.
