Netwealth's MS Contract Validates Broker Expansion

Dow Jones

0530 GMT - Netwealth's new contract with Morgan Stanley's wealth-management unit is viewed by Morgans as strong early validation of its expansion into the broker market. The Australian investment manager will provide MS platform services for ASX-listed and domestic investments, and Morgans analyst James Filius sees this as a sign of a net-flows tailwind for fiscal 2027 through fiscal 2030. Reiterating an accumulate rating on the stock, Filius tells clients in a note that Netwealth's incremental investment into fiscal 2027 looks like a doubling down on its strategy to drive further long-term scale benefits. Morgans cuts its target price by 5.2% to 27.50 Australian dollars. Shares are flat at A$23.49. (stuart.condie@wsj.com)
