Byrna Technologies Shares Fall After Swing to 2Q Loss

Dow Jones

Shares of Byrna Technologies dropped as the company swung to a fiscal second-quarter loss.

The stock was down 26% to $4.37 in recent trading, and fell 74% since the start of the year.

The personal-defense-technology company posted a quarterly loss of $10.1 million, or 44 cents a share, compared with net income of $2.42 million, or 10 cents a share, in the same quarter a year earlier.

Revenue fell 43% to $16.4 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $22.3 million.

Chief Executive Conn Davis attributed the performance to continued softness in their direct-to-consumer channel as well as a slower pace of reorders across retail partners.

He added that fiscal 2026 would not be a revenue-growth year, but said he expected improvement in the second half of the year compared with the first half as retailers prepare for the holidays and more of the company's marketing, conversion and customer-acquisition initiatives enter the market.
