Aimei Health Technology (AFJK) terminated its merger deal with United Hydrogen Group, effective immediately, as the companies failed to complete the transaction within the agreed timeframe, according to a statement Wednesday.

Shares of Aimei sank 49% as intraday trading volume jumped to over 165,000 from a daily average of about 10,000.

AstraZeneca (AZN) and its partner Ionis Pharmaceuticals (IONS) said Thursday that a phase 3 trial for eplontersen in people with transthyretin-mediated amyloid cardiomyopathy failed to meet the primary efficacy endpoint.

Shares of Ionis sank 24% as intraday trading volume soared to about 14.5 million from a daily average of roughly 1.89 million.

Rackspace Technology (RXT) said Thursday that it expects a wider Q2 adjusted loss from a year earlier and also lowered its full-year 2026 outlook.
