Top Cryptocurrencies Lower; Bitcoin Holds Above $62,000 Level

Major digital assets were broadly weaker Monday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) down but holding above the $62,000 level.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell almost 3.2% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq fell 1.9%, the S&P 500 declined 0.8%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.3%.

Bitcoin fell 3.1% to $62,124, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 57.5% to $30.27 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, was down 2.8% to $1,770.

XRP (XRP-USD) lost 3%, BNB (BNB-USD) added 1.3%, and Solana (SOL-USD) decreased 3.3%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dropped 2.4%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) fell declined 3.7%.

The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.610% at 3 p.m. ET Monday, up from 4.567% Friday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.363% from 4.308%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry dropped 2.6% in the past 24 hours to $2.14 trillion, with trading volume increasing 46.3% to $68.16 billion.
