Quantinuum (QNT) signed an agreement with Rolls-Royce, Riverlane and the University of Edinburgh to research quantum computing applications for industrial design, the quantum computing company said Tuesday.

The joint project will investigate how quantum systems can operate alongside traditional supercomputers to simulate fluid dynamics within gas turbines, the company said.

Quantinuum will grant access to its computing platforms, while its partners will provide industrial design models, error correction algorithms, and system integration, the company said.

Shares of the company were up 2% in Tuesday premarket activity.
