Top Cryptocurrencies Fall; Bitcoin Holds Above $64,000

Top cryptocurrencies fell Thursday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) still holding above $64,000.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 1.4% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 lost 1.6%, the S&P 500 declined 0.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.3%.

Bitcoin fell 1.1% to $64,131, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 4.6% to $27.1 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, declined 2.7% to $1,873.

XRP (XRP-USD) lost 1.3%, BNB (BNB-USD) fell 0.7%, and Solana (SOL-USD) declined 1.8%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dropped 0.9%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) shed 0.7%.

The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 5.094% at 3 p.m. ET Thursday, up from 5.076% Wednesday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.280% from 4.255%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 1.2% in the past 24 hours to $2.2 trillion, with trading volume declining 7.5% to $63.9 billion.
