Artificial-intelligence stocks looked set to mount a comeback on Monday, having taken a beating last week as investors began to worry about cheaper Chinese large-language models.

Memory storage company Sandisk jumped 4.2%, chips and networking company Marvell climbed 2%, and laser and optics hardware maker Lumentum advanced 3.3% ahead of the opening bell.

Chip makers Advanced Micro Devices, Intel, Micron, and Nvidia were also rising in premarket trading as investors piled back into AI stocks.

Alibaba added 3.6% after the Chinese online retailer previewed its new AI model, which it said was second only to Anthropic's Fable 5.

AMC Entertainment surged 12% after the movie-theater chain's second-quarter earnings and revenue topped analysts' expectations. AMC also said that 4.3 million moviegoers attended its cinemas in the U.S. to watch The Odyssey from Thursday through Sunday.

Domino's Pizza jumped 7.3% after the fast-food chain's second-quarter revenue beat Wall Street's target.
