Credit: CnEVPost\n\n\nLi Auto said its L-series models are set to begin local production in Kazakhstan.\nThe Li L9 delivered 6,106 units in June, up 24.79% year-on-year.\n\n\nLi Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has brought its updated flagship sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Li L9, to Central Asia as the model reaches a major delivery milestone.\nThe new Li L9 has officially launched in Kazakhstan, with local production of the company's L-series models set to begin soon, the Chinese automaker announced Friday.\nFor local users, the vehicle has been extensively adapted to support services including Spotify, Yandex and Apple CarPlay, Li Auto said.\n\n\nJoin us on \nTelegram\n or \nGoogle News\n\n\nThe company also announced Friday that cumulative global deliveries of the Li L9 have surpassed 300,000 units.\nThe model was first launched in June 2022 and began deliveries in late August that year, meaning it took 4 years to reach the latest milestone.\nAs of June 2026, the Li L9 ranked first among full-size SUVs in China by cumulative insurance registrations, according to Li Auto.\nLi Auto launched the new-generation Li L9 on May 15, updating its flagship extended-range electric vehicle (EREV).\nThe model is available in Ultra and higher-end Livis variants, with a starting price of 459,800 yuan ($67,680).\nThe company said at the time that an international version of the Li L9 would be launched in the third quarter, initially targeting markets including Central Asia and the Middle East.\nThe international version features several localized upgrades, including a dedicated Li Auto app, globally compatible charging ports and a localized infotainment system that can be continuously updated over the air.\nLi Auto entered Kazakhstan in December 2025, when it also expanded into Egypt and Azerbaijan.\nThe company had previously opened its first overseas retail center in Uzbekistan in October 2025.\nThe updated model is helping revive Li L9 sales.
