Utz Brands (UTZ) shares surged 89% after Germany-based Intersnack said Tuesday it agreed to buy the US snacks maker in a $2.9 billion take-private deal.

Over 50.6 million shares traded intraday versus a daily average of roughly 1.9 million.

Vivakor's (VIVK) supply and trading unit signed four recurring physical crude oil purchase and sale transactions with two commercial counterparties for an estimated annualized commercial value of about $289.2 million, the company said Tuesday.

Shares surged 148% as intraday trading volume catapulted to over 118.5 million from a daily average of about 313,000.

Intel (INTC) is planning to lay off workers in its data center group, Business Insider reported Tuesday, citing a company spokesperson. Separately, RBC Capital Markets said in a note that Intel is expected to report a decent Q2 supported by server CPU demand and pricing momentum.

Shares jumped 8.2%, with intraday trading volume at more than 64.8 million versus the stock's daily average of about 134.8 million.
