Germany's Hamburger Hafen und Logistik downgraded its revenue and earnings guidance for this year, citing lower throughput and transport volumes and the impacts of economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

The logistics company said Monday that it now targets a significant but lower than previously expected rise in revenue for 2026. It previously anticipated a strong on-year increase. In 2025, it booked revenue of 1.76 billion euros ($2.01 billion).

Earnings before interest and taxes are now expected within a range of 150 million euros and 170 million euros, down from a prior forecast of 175 million euros to 195 million euros.

Throughput and transport volumes have fallen short of previous assumptions due to container terminal and infrastructure modernization measures. These have had a greater impact on operations than originally expected, it said.

Furthermore, the economic environment and ongoing geopolitical uncertainty have weighed on business, the company said, adding that it no longer expects to fully offset the impact of winter weather at the beginning of the year in the remainder of 2026.
