Imunon (IMNN) said Tuesday that preliminary data from its ongoing Phase 2 clinical trial of IMNN-001 showed a deeper antitumor response compared with control in women with newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer.

The results showed that the drug, which was conducted in combination with standard of care neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy plus bevacizumab, demonstrated a lower rate of minimal residual disease and a higher rate of circulating tumor DNA clearance, according to a statement.

The drug also continued to show a highly favorable safety and tolerability profile, the company said.

IMNN-001 is now being evaluated in a phase 3 trial, enrolling patients with newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer at clinical sites across the US, Imunon said.
