Deckers Outdoor's quarterly sales rose on continued growth from its two biggest brands, with particular strength for Hoka.

The footwear and apparel company also bumped up its profit forecast for the fiscal year, but kept its sales outlook unchanged.

Deckers' fiscal first-quarter net income came in at $130 million, or 94 cents a share, compared with $139.2 million, or 93 cents a share, a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet forecast earnings of 88 cents a share.

Sales rose 5.7% to $1.02 billion, in line with analyst estimates.

Chief Executive Stefano Caroti attributed the results to growing global demand for Hoka and Ugg, helped by the brands' product innovation. In the quarter, Hoka sales increased 7.7%, to $703.5 million, while Ugg sales increased 4.9% to $278 million. Sales for the company's other brands fell 18%.

By channel, wholesale sales ticked up 2.2% and direct-to-consumer sales climbed 13%.

The company bumped up its profit forecast for the year, guiding for earnings per share of $7.35 to $7.50, compared with a prior range of $7.30 to $7.45. It continues to expect net sales of $5.86 billion to $5.91 billion for the year, which ends March 31, 2027.
