0834 GMT - STMicroelectronics's guidance for the current quarter has both positive and negative elements, UBS analysts write in a research note. The European chip maker is forecasting revenue of about $3.70 billion for the third quarter, up from $3.19 billion a year earlier. Analysts say that is slightly below consensus of $3.80 billion at the midpoint. Meanwhile, its gross margin--a closely watched measure of pricing power--should be about 37% compared to 33.2% a year earlier. Analysts note that is slightly ahead of consensus of 36.5%. STMicroelectronics shares trade in Milan trade 14% lower at 50.30 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
